All year in Boyacá
The Gran Fondo is one Sunday in October. The road to it lasts all year: time trials, a hill climb, team time trials and rides in Duitama and Bogotá.
The race is on October 17, 2027. The other 2027 dates are announced on this page first, as soon as the organisers confirm them.
The 2026 calendar. At the training rides you could win an entry to the Gran Fondo.
In 1995 the Road World Championships were held in Duitama, and these mountains entered cycling history for good. The Alto del Cogollo, the long straights of the highlands, the thin air at 2,500 metres: none of it has changed.
Boyacá is not a region that happens to have cyclists. It is a region that produces them. Here cycling is not a weekend hobby — it is how people understand their own land.
The Gran Fondo Boyacá Mundial exists so that, for one day, anyone can measure themselves against that road. You do not have to be a professional. You have to want to finish.
2026 edition
A decade is not reached; it is conquered
Reaching the summit of our first ten years, we reaffirm that our only competition is our own history. Edition after edition, we have turned every finish line into a new starting point. In 2026 we put on “la 10” — the number ten shirt — to lead the road and honour how far we have come, designing a legendary future ever since.
What the nine editions from 2016 to 2025 added up to. The tenth, the 2026 edition, was raced on 11 October.

The tenth edition was raced on October 11, 2026, in Duitama, with 2,000 riders. This part of the page keeps its segments, its course, its jersey, its kit and its categories.

2026 edition
Every edition has its own jersey, and the 2026 one, for the tenth anniversary, wore “la 10” on its chest. It is what identifies each rider, and wearing it on race day is not optional.
This edition’s graphic world distils into geometric shapes the monuments and landscapes that define Boyacá: the Pantano de Vargas Monument and the Púlpito del Diablo on the Nevado del Cocuy. The same silhouettes that appear in the event mark run across the garment.
Riders not wearing the official jersey, number and wristband are excluded from the photo record, are not recognised as participants by the mechanical and medical support crews, and are not eligible for a medal or for the awards.
You choose your size when you register, using the sizing chart on the entry form. Once the kit is handed over, sizes cannot be exchanged.
